Why the West Indies

"There is nothing in world cricket quite like a tour of the West Indies. The combination of island-hopping, turquoise seas, calypso music drifting from the stands, and Test cricket played under Caribbean skies makes it the most intoxicating experience in the game." Ian Kerr, founder

The grounds

Barbados · Kensington Oval
The spiritual home of Caribbean cricket, in Bridgetown. Capacity about 28,000. The region's first Test was played here in 1930, the Garry Sobers statue greets you at the entrance, and the ground was redeveloped for the 2007 World Cup while keeping its character. On a Test match day: calypso, rum punch and passionate local support.
Hotels we recommend, or similar, subject to availability: Sugar Bay Barbados, all-inclusive in the historic Garrison area near the ground, the easiest base for match days; Dover Beach Hotel on the Gap, St Lawrence, a comfortable south coast hotel popular with touring groups and walking distance to restaurants, bars and the beach; Divi Southwinds Beach Resort, St Lawrence Gap, beachfront with gardens and pools; Bougainvillea Barbados, an all-suite resort on Maxwell Beach, a short taxi ride from the ground.
Airport to hotel is usually 20 to 45 minutes.
Antigua · Sir Vivian Richards Stadium
Capacity about 10,000, built for the 2007 World Cup, with the Andy Roberts End and the Curtly Ambrose End named after two of Antigua's great fast bowlers. Widely regarded as having the best food of any ground in the Caribbean: the local stalls inside are excellent.
Hotels we recommend, or similar, subject to availability: The Verandah Resort & Spa near Devil's Bridge, adults-only and all-inclusive on 30 acres with two beaches; Pineapple Beach Club at Long Bay, adults-only and all-inclusive, relaxed and popular with touring groups.
Jamaica · Sabina Park
In Kingston, beneath the Blue Mountains. Capacity about 15,600. One of the oldest Test venues in the Caribbean, known for fast, bouncy pitches and some of the most thrilling fast bowling in Test history. The crowd is raw, intense and among the most knowledgeable in the world.
St Lucia · Daren Sammy Cricket Ground
In Gros Islet: a natural amphitheatre of green hills, with the Pitons in the distance. Capacity about 15,000, floodlit, a regular CPL venue, and named after Daren Sammy, St Lucia's World T20-winning captain. It is 10 to 15 minutes from Rodney Bay, which makes it one of the easiest grounds in the Caribbean for visitors.
Hotels we recommend, or similar, subject to availability: Coco Palm in Rodney Bay, a family-owned boutique hotel walking distance from Reduit Beach, restaurants and bars, our first choice for St Lucia; Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa, on Reduit Beach, with pools, a spa and easy access to the ground.
Trinidad · Queen's Park Oval
In Port of Spain, with the Northern Range behind it. Capacity about 25,000, founded in 1897, and the most-used Test venue in the Caribbean, with more than 60 Tests. The Concrete Stand is where the most vocal supporters gather, and the place to be for atmosphere.
Grenada · National Cricket Stadium
In St George's, on the Spice Island. Capacity about 20,000: an intimate, welcoming setting for international cricket.
Hotels we recommend, or similar, subject to availability: Radisson Grenada Beach Resort on Grand Anse Beach, walking distance to restaurants and bars; Spice Island Beach Resort on Grand Anse, luxury all-inclusive with private pool suites.
Guyana · Guyana National Stadium, Providence
Outside Georgetown, home of the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL and an international venue: New Zealand played ODIs here in July 2026.
St Kitts · Warner Park, Basseterre
A compact ground in the capital of St Kitts, home of the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the CPL.
St Vincent · Arnos Vale
A Test ground near Kingstown, close to the sea, and the gateway to the Grenadines.
Dominica · Windsor Park, Roseau
A Test ground in the capital of the Nature Island, ringed by green hills.

The Caribbean Premier League

The CPL is the Caribbean's T20 franchise tournament, usually played in August and September, with seven teams across the region: Antigua, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Trinidad. The 2026 season ran from 7 August to 20 September, with the final in Barbados.

It is Caribbean cricket as a festival: music, food and a party in the stands. Dates are announced each year; tell us you are interested and we plan around them.

Add to any trip

Another island
Island to island is 30 minutes to 2 hours by air. Add St Lucia's Pitons, Grenada's beaches or Antigua's 365 to a cricket trip.
Jamaica's north coast
Dunn's River Falls near Ocho Rios, about 1 hour 20 minutes by road from Kingston.
Trinidad Carnival
One of the greatest street parties on earth, on the Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. If your trip lines up, we build it in.
