British citizens require a visa. Apply in advance from the Bangladeshi High Commission in London. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months with 2 blank pages.

Currency

Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Bring GBP or USD and exchange locally. ATMs available in Dhaka and Chittagong.

Weather

February is ideal — 25–30°C, dry, moderate humidity. One of the most pleasant months to visit.

Health

Consult your GP before travel. Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccinations recommended. Drink bottled water only.
