Follow On Tours — Booking Terms & Conditions
Version 0.3 — August 2026
These conditions apply to every booking you make with Follow On Tours Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 17127842, registered office 36 Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, England, LE13 1AF). Please read them carefully before you book. Where we refer to "we", "us" or "our" we mean Follow On Tours; "you" means the Lead Traveller and everyone in the party named on the booking. You can reach us at hello@followontours.com. We may update these terms from time to time; the version you accept at the point of booking is the version that governs your trip.
1. How these terms cover every kind of tour
We run several types of tour, and this single set of terms covers all of them. The detail that changes from tour to tour — the price, what is and isn't included, the payment dates and the cancellation schedule — is set out in the Tour Description and confirmation for your chosen trip, which these terms work alongside. Your legal protection, and our role, depend on how your tour is put together:
Ground-only packages (no flights). A tour combining two or more travel services — such as accommodation, transfers, match tickets and excursions — sold for one inclusive price. We are the organiser and are responsible for delivering the package properly. This is a "package" under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, and it is protected by our ABTOT bond — see section 15.
Flights. We do not sell flights and do not include them in any package. You arrange your own travel to join the tour. Because no package we sell includes flights, ATOL does not apply.
Tailor-made tours. For bespoke trips, some services are delivered by our partner in the host country. We remain the organiser of your package and are responsible for delivering it; those partners are our suppliers, and your contract is with us.
Single services. A single service bought on its own — match tickets only, for example — is not a package. We will tell you what protection applies before you book.
2. Making your booking
Your booking becomes a contract once we have accepted it and received your deposit (or full payment) in cleared funds. For online bookings, that happens when you accept these terms at the end of the booking process and we receive your payment. We may decline any booking at our discretion.
The person making the booking is the Lead Traveller. They must be 18 or over and have authority to accept these terms for everyone in the party. The Lead Traveller is our single point of contact for everything that follows, and is responsible for the accuracy of the details given for each traveller and for passing on anything we send. Anyone under 18 must travel with an accompanying adult. Some of the details you give us (including each traveller's name, address, gender, date of birth and passport information) may be passed to suppliers and to government, border and security authorities where the law requires it.
3. What we tell you before you book
Before you commit we give you the key pre-booking information, including the main features of the services, the full price, how and when to pay, your cancellation rights and the financial protection that applies. That information forms part of your contract and won't change unless we both agree.
4. Paying for your tour
A deposit is payable when you book — typically 50% of the price — with the balance due by the date shown for your tour. If you book within 12 weeks of departure, the full price is payable straight away. If any payment is missed by its due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled and apply the charges in section 6.
5. Prices and surcharges
Once you've booked, we will only change your price in limited circumstances allowed by law — specifically where our costs change because of transport prices, taxes or fees, or exchange rates — and never later than 20 days before departure. If a surcharge would increase your total by more than 8%, you may cancel and receive a full refund instead. The same works in your favour: if those costs fall, you're entitled to a corresponding reduction. We won't change the price once you've paid in full.
6. Changing, transferring or cancelling your booking
If you'd like to change a confirmed booking, ask us in writing and we'll do our best, though we can't promise it; any supplier costs plus a £75 administration fee will apply. Up to 7 days before departure you may transfer your place to someone else who meets the tour requirements, for a £75 administration fee per person plus any supplier charges.
If you need to cancel, let us know in writing — the date we receive your notice sets the charge. Until 120 days before departure your deposit is non-refundable; from 120 days, 50% of the cost; from 60 days, 100%.
7. If we have to change or cancel
Most changes are minor and we'll let you know where we can. If, before departure, we make a significant change to an essential part of your booking — or cancel for a reason that isn't your fault and isn't due to events beyond our control — you can accept the change, take a comparable alternative (with a refund of any price difference), or cancel for a full refund. We'll tell you promptly and in a lasting form, give you a fair period to decide, and explain what happens if you don't reply. Where compensation applies, we'll pay it on a published scale appropriate to how close to departure the change falls.
8. Our responsibility to you
Where your booking is a package, we are responsible for delivering the included services properly, in line with the Package Travel Regulations 2018. If something isn't provided as agreed, we'll put it right where we can, or offer a fair price reduction or compensation — except where the shortfall is your own doing, the act of an unconnected third party, or the result of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. For any claim involving air, sea, rail or road travel or hotel stays, our liability is limited in line with the relevant international conventions and the carrier's conditions of carriage. For single services, our role is to arrange the service with reasonable care, and it is then provided under the supplier's own terms.
9. Travel insurance
It is a condition of booking that everyone in your party holds adequate travel insurance for the whole trip, covering at least personal accident, medical expenses, repatriation and loss or damage, with a minimum of £2,000,000 for medical and repatriation cover.
10. Passports, visas and entry requirements
You are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, and any vaccination or health documents, and for meeting the entry rules of every country on your itinerary. Please check requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate, and seek health advice from your GP in good time. We have no liability if you can't travel, are refused entry, or face penalties because the right documents weren't in place.
11. Special requests and medical needs
Tell us about any special requests when you book and we'll pass them to the relevant supplier, though we can't guarantee them and an unmet request isn't a breach of contract. If you have a medical condition or disability that could affect your travel, please tell us in writing before booking so we can check we're able to look after you properly.
12. Behaviour on tour
By booking, you agree to follow our Tour Code of Conduct (below) and the entry conditions of each venue. On any matter affecting the safety or wellbeing of the group, the tour manager's decision is final. We may end the arrangements of anyone behaving unacceptably or unlawfully, without refund, and they then become responsible for getting themselves home.
13. Events beyond our control
We won't pay compensation where a change or cancellation is caused by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances beyond our control — for example war or unrest, terrorism, strikes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood, severe weather, epidemic or pandemic, or government and Foreign Office advice. Your legal rights in these situations — including, for packages, the right to cancel without a fee and receive a full refund where the law provides — still stand.
14. Sporting fixtures
Cricket schedules can move at short notice and the boards may change fixtures. If a match or event is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled, we'll pass on any ticket refunds the organisers issue. Where confirmed services have already been paid in full, those arrangements are governed by the cancellation terms above.
15. Looking after your money (financial protection)
The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Follow On Tours Limited, membership number 5718, and in the event of their insolvency, protection is provided for:
Non-flight packages
ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if transportation was included in your package. Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Follow On Tours Limited.
In the unlikely event that you require assistance whilst abroad due to our financial failure, please call our 24/7 helpline on 01702 811397 and advise you are a customer of an ABTOT protected travel company.
You can access The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 here: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2018/634/contents/made
You can find out more about ABTOT here: https://www.abtot.com/
We are not an ATOL holder and do not sell flights; ATOL protection does not apply to these ground-only arrangements.
16. Your privacy and personal data
We are the controller of the personal information you give us, and we handle it in line with UK data protection law. We collect contact details, traveller details (including names as shown on passports, dates of birth, gender, nationality and passport information), payment information and any special requirements, and we use them to arrange and deliver your tour.
Some of what you tell us — dietary requirements and health or mobility information — is sensitive ("special category") data. We only collect it to look after you on tour and to meet suppliers' requirements, and we rely on an appropriate lawful basis and condition for doing so. We share your information with the suppliers needed to deliver your tour, with our payment providers, and with public authorities (such as customs, immigration and security) where the law requires. Some destinations are outside the UK and may not offer the same data-protection safeguards; by booking, you understand your data must be shared with overseas suppliers to make your tour happen.
We keep your information only as long as we need it for your booking and our legal obligations, then securely delete or anonymise it. You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or port your data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Our full Privacy Notice is on our website and forms part of these terms.
17. Your travel documents
We issue your travel documents — such as e-tickets, vouchers and match tickets — once you've completed the traveller information for everyone in your party, because suppliers can't issue them without complete, accurate details. Please check all documents are correct and tell us promptly of any error.
18. If something goes wrong
If a problem arises during your tour, tell your tour manager or our representative straight away so we can try to fix it there and then. If it can't be resolved, please write to us within 28 days of getting home and we'll work towards a settlement. If you're still not satisfied, package disputes can be referred to the approved alternative dispute resolution service.
19. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
20. Accepting these terms
By accepting these terms — online at the end of the booking process, or by signing and returning your booking form — you confirm that you've read, understood and accepted them for yourself and everyone in your party, with the same effect as a signature.
Tour Code of Conduct
We're always working to make your tour better, and we're proud of the standards we keep as cricket-travel specialists. We ask every traveller to read and follow this Code for the duration of the tour — it's there so everyone enjoys the trip. Please read it alongside the entry conditions on each ground's admission ticket.
- Alcohol — Please drink responsibly and in moderation, know your limits, and keep hydrated. Drunk and disorderly behaviour isn't condoned.
- Language — Please avoid offensive language and be mindful of those around you.
- Illegal substances — We take no responsibility for anyone found in possession of illegal substances.
- Smoking — Please smoke only in designated areas.
- Consideration — Please be polite and considerate towards fellow travellers, host supporters, staff and tour managers. Abusive, offensive or disruptive behaviour won't be tolerated.
- Respect — Discrimination of any kind won't be tolerated.
We hope you enjoy your Follow On Tours tour.
